For those who want a classic wedding ring that’s also unique and just that little bit different, our Mokume Gane rings are the perfect choice.  Hand crafted from the highest quality Mokume Gane forged from copper, brass and silver, every ring is unique and the copper and brass will darken over time to give even greater contrasting patterns.

Set into sterling silver this ring will suit all skin tones and will last a lifetime.  They are suitable for both men and women and can be made in alternative metals on request, just contact us for more information on options, delivery timescales and current prices.

Material Information

Mokume Gane is a Japanese metalworking process which produces a mixed metal laminate with distinctive layered patterns.  The term translates closely to “wood grain metal” and describes the way the metal takes on the appearance of natural wood grain.

It is created by fusing several layers of differently coloured metals to form a billet.  The billet is then folded forged and carved in such a way that a pattern resembling wood grain emerges.  Different metals are used to create different effects – in this instance we use copper, brass and silver which produces this subtle, warm effect.

Sizing & Delivery Information

Ring sizers should be universal, however they can differ – they shouldn’t…but they can.  To save delays and/or disappointment we prefer, wherever possible, to check your ring size using our own sizers.  If time allows, please order a ring sizer which we will send out to you straight away with full instructions.  Once we have your size we can go ahead and re-size or make your ring.  If this is not feasible, for example, if the ring is a surprise gift for someone else, then we will need to proceed based on the information you supply.  In these cases we cannot accept responsibility for any sizing issues.  These rings cannot be re-sized so please ensure you order the correct size.

All Mokume Gane inlay rings are made to order.  Delivery time for standard 6mm wide rings (as listed above) is 1-3 weeks.  For specific requests delivery times will be quoted individually.
