Striking, unique and literally out of this world! Â Genuine meteorite pendant, wrapped in 9ct rose gold with a softly brushed satin finish, available on a fine 18″ trace chain or on it’s own.
This meteorite is from the famous Gibeon meteorite which fell to earth in prehistoric times and is around 4 billion years old. Â Named after the nearest town in Namibia where it fell, the meteorite was discovered by the local Nama people who used it to make tools and weapons. Â In the early 1800s samples were collected and sent to London to be analysed and it was only then that the extraterrestrial nature of the material was known.
