Beaver Mine Silver Ore cabochon Necklace (SOLD)

£415.00

Simple and contemporary, this lariat necklace is all about the rare Beaver Mine Silver Ore cabochon.  Set in an open-backed 9ct yellow gold frame with a 19” trace chain and a Beaton & Shott brand-embossed ring, this necklace is unique and unusual.

The Cobalt Silver Rush started in 1903 when huge veins of silver were discovered by workers on the Temiskaming & Northern Ontario Railway.  The Beaver Mine was opened in 1909 and closed in 1920 but a small amount of silver ore was released for sale recently.
