Simple and contemporary, this lariat necklace is all about the rare Beaver Mine Silver Ore cabochon.  Set in 9ct yellow gold with a 22” trace chain and a Beaton & Shott brand-embossed lariat ring, this necklace is definitely for those who like their jewellery to be unusual.

The Cobalt Silver Rush started in 1903 when huge veins of silver were discovered by workers on the Temiskaming & Northern Ontario Railway.  The Beaver Mine was opened in 1909 and closed in 1920 but a small amount of silver ore was released for sale recently.

We have a very limited number of cabochons, each one has been cut from silver ore mined at least 80 years ago from the historic mine.

Additional Information

Please be aware that some soap, detergents and antibacterial sanitiser can react with metal to cause discolouration.  This is more common with silver which can even react to skin that is particularly acidic.

Any metal discolouration can be cleaned using a proprietary silver cleaner or polish.  Wherever possible, to protect your jewellery, please remove prior to washing or using hand sanitisers.
